Ninja Summer Camp in Albuquerque:

What to Expect (2026)

Summer is here, and if you're a parent in Albuquerque looking for a way to keep your kids active, engaged, and genuinely excited to get out of the house, ninja summer camp might be exactly what you've been searching for.

At Ultimate Ninja Gym, summer camp isn't about sitting still. It's five action-packed weeks of obstacle courses, Ninja Warrior-style challenges, team games, and fitness activities designed for kids ages 5 to 13. No prior experience needed — just a passion for adventure.

Whether your child is already a junior ninja fanatic or has never touched a warped wall in their life, this program meets them where they are and pushes them further than they thought possible. Here's what to expect.

What Is Ninja Summer Camp, Exactly?

Inspired by the hit TV show American Ninja Warrior, ninja obstacle training turns climbing, swinging, jumping, and balancing into a full athletic workout — without it ever feeling like exercise. Kids naturally push their limits when the "workout" looks this much fun.

Ultimate Ninja Gym's summer camp takes that energy and structures it into a full day of programming. Kids cycle through obstacle course training, Ninja Warrior-style challenges, team-based games, and light cardio — all inside the gym's 40+ obstacle course, full workout room, parkour section, and rock wall.

The result is a kid who comes home tired in the best possible way, having built real skills in strength, agility, coordination, and mental resilience — while making friends and laughing the whole time.

2026 Camp Dates, Times, and Schedule

This year's Ninja Summer Camp runs Monday through Friday, June 1 through July 3 — five full weeks of summer programming.

Two sessions are available each day:

● Morning session: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

● Afternoon session: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

Families can choose one session per day or sign up for both. The flexibility makes it easy to fit into your summer schedule whether you need a half-day option or a full morning-to-afternoon block.

Camp is open to kids and teens ages 5 to 13. No prior ninja warrior experience is required. To register, call the gym at (505) 433-4175 or sign up online. The team is available Monday through Friday, 3:00 - 7:00 PM, and Saturday - Sunday, 1:00 - 6:00 PM.

What Your Child Will Do at Camp

Every day is different, but the core activities are designed to build athletic fundamentals in the most engaging way possible.

Obstacle Course Training — Kids tackle challenging obstacles inspired by American Ninja Warrior, including balance beams, cargo nets, warped walls, and swinging ropes. The goal isn't just to get across — it';s to improve technique and confidence with each attempt

Ninja Warrior Challenges — Campers work on specific ninja-style skills like climbing walls, rope swings, and precision jumps. As the weeks progress, kids tackle obstacles they couldn't manage on day one.

Team Games — Relay races, tag challenges, and obstacle-based competitions encourage collaboration and build friendships. For many kids, the social element becomes just as important as the physical one.

Cardio and Fitness — Light cardio drills, bodyweight exercises, and core strengthening routines are woven throughout the day to build endurance and overall fitness without feeling like a traditional workout.

All activities are led by experienced ninja coaches who prioritize both safety and fun throughout every session.

Is It Good for Kids Who Aren't Athletic?

This is one of the most common questions parents ask — and the answer is a clear yes. Ninja training is uniquely beginner-friendly because there's no pressure to succeed on the first try. The obstacles are designed for progression, so kids improve at their own pace. What looks intimidating in week one often becomes a source of real pride by week five.

At Ultimate Ninja Gym, coaches are experienced at meeting kids wherever they are. Whether your child is a confident athlete or someone who has never felt like a "sports kid," the obstacle- based format tends to unlock a new kind of engagement. Kids who struggle in traditional sports settings often thrive here because success looks different — it's personal, visible, and celebrated.

A Summer Your Kid Won't Stop Talking About

Ninja Summer Camp at Ultimate Ninja Gym isn't just a way to keep kids busy during summer break. It's a five-week experience that builds real skills — strength, agility, confidence, and resilience — in an environment that kids genuinely look forward to every day.

For Albuquerque families looking for something beyond the usual summer options, this is a rare find: structured, active, beginner-friendly, and seriously fun. Camp runs June 1 through July 3, with both morning and afternoon sessions available for kids ages 5 to 13. Spots are limited, so don't wait too long to lock in your child's week.
